Workshop Notes:
Bring a journal + something to write with, along with TWO tennis balls (or other therapy balls), socks, a cozy blanket, and a flat pillow. It is not advised to practice if you’re pregnant or have any physical or psychiatric conditions that may be triggered from engaging in activities involving intense physical and/or emotional release.
During a Full Moon, the Moon is sitting opposite the Sun and is fully illuminated by the light of it. Because of this state of illumination, the Full Moon is considered a night of clear seeing and releasing pent-up energy and blockages (which is why each full moon we will convene for deep somatic release work).
The breathwork practice you’ll be guided through is an active meditation technique that uses the breath to purge the body and nervous system of emotional residue. The combination of deep fascial bodywork, mixed with this powerful breathwork meditation creates an internal environment of deep awareness and connection.
This enables you to access non-ordinary states of consciousness by turning down the cognitive “thinking” part of your brain. In this more sovereign state, it’s easier to experience creative insights, intuitive discernment, breakthroughs, transformation, and profound healing.
We’ll ground into this experience through storytelling and writing prompts related to the full moon theme. Then we’ll begin the beautiful and profound body + breathwork practice, leaving room at the end for questions and sharing.
