 About D.R.M

drmfeet.jpg

Intelligent - Innovative - Inspiring

Dynamic: a force that stimulates change or progress within a system or process.

Dynamic Release Flow {Method}, created by Amber Campion, gracefully unites the postures of yoga with the presence of internal martial arts, along with self-myofascial release using tennis balls designed to down-regulate your nervous system. D.R.M moves you from posture to posture as though you were moving through thick saltwater, much like the fluid breath-focused movement you’d see in Qigong. Classes always end with deep fascia release work creating a dynamic experience from beginning to end. The intention of this practice is to discharge blocks in your body and mind to support you in bringing your full self to the world. The result is a heart-centering, body-opening, and soul-expanding release.  D.R.M will challenge you, illuminate you, and create an incredibly strong and resilient body and mind.

The effects of D.R.M seek to expand the mind, release dis-ease in the body, and ignite the soul. This balancing and grounding method revitalizes the nervous system by fusing both Yang (active) and Yin (passive) energies. The flow is designed to build both somatic intelligence and deep release in the physical, emotional, mental, and subtle bodies. Based on the principle of balancing polarities:

Sthira (Stability/Integrity/Refinement)

Sukha (Flow/Flexibility/Expression)

D.R.M intelligently guides students to safely develop physical strength, create space for deep release in the body and mind, as well as cultivate the flow of inner power (vital life force energy), also known as Prana or Qi.

Open to all levels, though in some classes we do explore more challenging postures, such as inversions, arm balances, and binding. Please do not let this keep you from joining class, as you will be instructed on variations to suit your needs.

What People Are Saying

Amber is a divine leader and powerful teacher - D.R.M is one of the best workshops I’ve been to for myself and for learning more about yoga philosophies and techniques! Knowledge from various styles of yoga was presented and each technique was taught with emphasis on form. Definitely take this workshop if you want to expand your understanding of deep emotional release and relaxation.
— APOORVA RASTOGI | ENGINEERING PROGRAMMING MANAGER AT APPLE INC.

I would travel far and wide to take class with you again. I’ve never met a teacher who has come close to the magnificence, presence, skill, and art of your classes.
— ELISHA SOPHIA | YOGA TEACHER & HEALING FOOD CHEF

Real. That is what I think of when I think of Amber and her teaching. In and out of the studio, on and off the mat, she is true to herself and her work is a reflection of that. She is badass in her own practice and in the work she creates. She is motivating, inspiring, creative, funny and authentically, REAL.
— Sloane Kusmack | Yoga Instructor

“What is real for you?”, she asked the class. “What is real for you right now?”
I admire the authenticity that Amber brings to her teaching. She really does embrace “the beauty and brutality of life”, asking her students to bravely confront whatever they’re facing so they can move forward again. Her no-nonsense attitude reassures students that they’re not alone in whatever challenges they’re facing. She sugarcoats nothing, but brings humor into her stories at exactly the right moments. While Amber demonstrates some of the poses as she speaks (often just using some arm motions to show how the spine should move) the vast majority of the time she is walking at a measured pace around the room. The degree of vigilance that Amber employs with regards to her students allows her to correct alignment immediately, and to get a strong sense of how the class is feeling both mentally and emotionally at any moment.
I love that Amber invited her students to engage in “contemplative movement”, listening to their own intuition about how their body should move. At first this instruction seemed difficult for people to follow, but by the end of the class the students really seemed to be totally entranced, listening to their internal voice (perhaps for the very first time). Her classes really take on the art of theater in many ways, and without realizing it her students flow through moments of reflection, of humor, of effort, and of release. It is truly a gift to experience.”
— ANNE MARTIN | YOGA TEACHER + SUSTAINABLE FOOD POLICY ADVOCATE

Amber and the work she offers are a true gift. Her somatic breathwork sessions are transformative every single time, touching into all layers physical, emotional, and spiritual. In her sessions, I am often healing on levels I’m not consciously aware of; but when I return to life afterward I feel reset, recalibrated, and often lighter, as though deep traumas have been released from my body.

Since beginning regular breathwork with her, I have noticed a huge decrease in my nervous system’s agitation, and a wonderful increase in my ability to stay calm and present during challenges. Not only that, but I leave with all kinds of insights about those challenges and what I can explore for self-growth.

This work is probably unlike any other you’ve ever received, and it is profound in a way that can’t be described. If you’re feeling a tug in this direction, there’s a reason, and I highly encourage you to follow that intuition and experience it for yourself.
— Mea | Massage Therapist

I’ve had two breathwork sessions with Amber, and both were equally profound. I released so much trapped grief that I had no idea was being held in my body. Amber does an extraordinary job of being so present and comforting during this process of relief through deep breath. I felt incredibly safe in Amber’s guidance and space, allowing myself to finally let go of what was ready to release.

Amber plays music that perfectly fits with her sessions that enhances the experience. She reads poetry that she intuitively chooses, which so perfectly encompasses what I’m experiencing at the time. And she offers cards to draw from and/or time to journal and just be with the experience after the session.

I cannot say enough about my time with Amber...I’m hooked. Her breathwork is a healing modality I never thought could be so deeply moving and so incredibly necessary to move past the trauma that my body has held onto.
— Michelle | Hypnotherapist

For anyone considering a session with Amber, do it! You will not regret it. I am often hesitant to do this kind of work as I am such an independent person. But I have learned you can’t always do it alone, nor should you. There are gifted healers who can help you crack open and relax into parts of yourself you just can’t reach on your own.

I felt safe, relaxed, and held in sacred space with Amber. I knew she had something unique and powerful to share with me. Sure enough, my session brought openness to my heart, clarity with situations that felt foggy, and a deep calm to my nervous system and spirit.

The flow of the session was perfect, raw, and full of love and non-judgemental understanding. I am so looking forward to my next one!

  1-on-1 Sessions

Sancutary.jpeg

Amber offers somatic breathwork healing sessions in her home sanctuary in Reno, NV.

Breathwork healing creates an internal environment of deep awareness and connection, enabling you to access non-ordinary states of consciousness by turning down the cognitive “thinking” part of your brain. In this state, you are more able to access well-being and self-regulation of your nervous system.

Somatic Breathwork is an active meditation technique, done lying on the back, that will support clearing the body and nervous system of emotional debris. The process mindfully moves stagnant energy (Qi/Prana), facilitating release of strong emotions and stuck states that are locked in the body, affecting the mind and limiting our lives.

This work is a powerful blend of integrative, intuitive counseling, bodywork, breathwork, and energywork. At the end of the session, you will be offered a ritual and/or an experiment based on what came up during the session.

The first session runs approximately 90-minutes.
